This basic coxing handbook is based on the Oxford novices' handbook given to all who start coxing at Oxford University. A club's instruction for coxes should also include a local map, diagrams or practical tuition on how the boat is numbered and steered, and useful local and contact information. The OUCS novice handbook linked above illustrates how this can be done.
